Following the end of the Ultimate League group stage Serene were randomly picked to play a special match against current FS admins giving the team a chance of earning additional prizes. The game was played yesterday, February 10th and despite putting in a decent performance the team failed to capitalize on the given chance losing with the score of 2:4.
Serene were the ones to take the lead after Rtrt delivered a short driven pass into the box. On the end of it was Imperfect who slipped away from his marker and produced an accurate finish into the bottom corner.
The home team went on to have a quality first half denying any attacking attempts by the opposition and putting more pressure on their defense. Despite the intensity, the score remained unchanged throughout the half.
Things changed when the teams stepped back onto the pitch as the away team began to put more pressure on Serene's defensive lines. They eventually capitalized on Serene's poor positioning during a corner leading to a close range equalizer from Shark. Minutes later, Razza found the net with an impressive long-range finish putting the home team 1:2 down.
Serene seemed to struggle with getting back into the game but a misplaced backward pass by Kayte saw Rtrt in a shooting position just outside of the box. He took his chance confidently and set the score level again at 2:2.
Despite the apparent morale boost in the home side, the closing stage of the game saw the opposition take control of possession and snatch another goal with Shark putting a rebound into the open net. Even more upsetting for the home fans was seeing yet another corner lead to a goal by Razza with injury time already underway setting the final score of the match at 2:4.
