A very intense and rather controversial Open League Summer 2015 is over and Serene managed to hold onto the 3rd position by a single point. It was an exciting ride for us after a cruelly long break without competitive football and in the end we even feel like we let a lot of points slip, meaning there's more potential to be explored in the tournaments to come.
It's our first time to finish 3rd in an official 20 min / 7as league and, interestingly, the first one to keep our goal difference above zero :)
A number of players finally had the chance to make their official debute for the club and some scored their first goals for Serene, all during these two weeks. A new individual record was also set by Sawamura (Oemer), scoring 16 goals over the course of the league.
There's no denying that such high finish was only possible because we managed to play more games than our opponents. It means that our staff did amazing job at finding opponents and arranging match times. It also means that we should work more on our efficiency on the pitch so that we don't have to rely on a high number of matches in future.
